About Odyssey Academy

Odyssey Learning Services established Odyssey Academy in 1986 as an additional service to those families who wanted their children to learn at home, but enjoyed the teaching and support of a Christian school. A mail correspondence program servicing grades K-12 using a worktext curriculum was created.

In 2000, Odyssey Learning Services partnered with Alpha Omega Publications as the Alpha Omega educational service provider or educational specialist for the AOP school market in the six northwest states. Odyssey Academy became the first distance learning program to use the Switched-On Schoolhouse (SOS) multimedia curriculum and worked with the product development team to make it what it is today.

With its proven track record, Odyssey Academy has enrolled thousands of students in the U.S. and overseas.Odyssey Academy provides a flexible, yet structured program, customized to meet the needs of each student. Our qualified teachers, counselors, and support staff are here to help you succeed in providing a quality education for your student. The Academy strives for an excellent standard in home education with a distinctive level of integrity far beyond State and National minimums.

ADMINISTRATION AND STAFF

The Administrators of the Academy taught or administrated private schools in the states of Oregon, Florida and Washington.  From 1979-2000, they provided educational consulting services to private schools throughout Oregon and Washington as field representatives for a well-known Christian education publisher.  Currently, they serve as educational service providers and education specialists for Christian schools using the Alpha Omega Publications curriculum in the states of Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and Alaska. The longevity of this teaching experience and service,over 30 years, provides a wealth of resource and consulting information for those families they serve.

OFFERINGS

With the help of its professional educators and the state-of-the-art computer technology, the Academy provides one of the finest pre-school through high school home education programs available.  The high level of accountability required in the Academy gives assurance for success in home schooling.  The program far exceeds today’s educational expectations.  Using computer technology, the Academy monitors student work on a daily basis and provides tutoring through its internal communication system and web-based conference service..
