PHILOSOPHY - WHY DOES ODYSSEY ACADEMY EXIST?

Parents are given a mandate from God for the responsibility of educating their children and, thus, are the sole custodians responsible for the education of their children.  Odyssey Academy’s goal is to provide a quality high-standards academic education which far exceeds State and National expectations with an emphasis upon critical thinking, research and developing strong writing skills.

Odyssey Academy also exists to assist parents in training their children to think well, act responsibly and live wisely, and to help parents train their children to make decisions from values which are based on respect for the authority of God and love for their fellow man.  Odyssey Academy desires that all students learn knowledge about life, but also wisdom about how to live.

A strong academic program will shape your child's future, but the character of your child developed while in your care truly will become your child's destiny and your legacy. Our philosophy is to provide every parent with the tools and expertise you need to impact your child's life both academically and spiritually, with an emphasis upon imparting wisdom and a strong work ethic.

Every child is a special gift from God whose future is impacted by the adults who shape their lives. We also believe that children grow and matures at differing rates. Likewise, every child's education should be centered around their own individual need. That's why we will examine your child's academic abilities and customize our curriculum offering to meet your child at his or her point of need. We aim to provide an education customized for your child as if he or she were the only child in our care. The partnership with our parents is a sacred trust which we hold in the highest esteem.
