We know from long experience that flexibility is the key to homeschooling success. This flexibility includes scheduling, teaching, learning and course selection.

Flexible Scheduling

Each family has unique scheduling needs. Our Switched-On program will create lesson plans; however, parents have full control over changes or regeneration of their student's lesson plan. If desired, you can let us know the months and days you desire that your child receive instruction and we will create a truly customized calendar for your student.

Flexible Teaching

Different parents prefer different levels of involvement with their child's education, particularly as the child gets older. While the primary responsibiility for the education of your child rests with you, the parent, we pledge to come alongside so that our service goal will meet your needs and desires.

Even though delivery of the curriculum content is either through paper or electronic, we encourage parents to utilize online or other educational resources along with the most effective teaching method to reinforce mastery of the concepts.

Flexibility in Learning

though there is a structured lesson plan which can be modified, we recognize that students learn at differeing rates. If your child requires more time in a particular subject, you have the flexibility of modifying the lesson plan to account for the necessary extra time.

Flexibility in Course Selection

Odyssey provides a number of curriculum format choices. In addition to the fundamental courses in five core subject areas, we offer a wide variety of electives for middle school and high school students. Parents may also submit approved documentation of their own electives for us to add to their student's transcript. (Fee applies.)
