Technology-Based Curriculum
Odyssey Academy uses advanced technology to connect our qualified teachers with your students. Our state of the art technology allows students and teachers three ways to communicate. First, general messages can be sent through the built-in Message Center. Messages are sent directly to the student or teacher's Message Center. As soon as a message is received, the student or teacher is notified. An icon appears in the lower right corner and is displayed in every page of the curriculum. Likewise, upon logging in, the number of received and unread messages will be highlighted in the Message Center button.
Perhaps the student has a question about a specific assignment. Rather than sending a general message, which would require the recipient to hunt for the assignment, our program will allow a message to be tied directly to the assignment through the internal Assignment Notepad. When the message is received, the recipient need only click on the link provided and the exact assignment message appears on the screen.
If a student or teacher needs to communicate about an individual problem in the assignment, a Problem Notepad message area is provided which will tie the message directly to that problem. The student or teacher will open the link within the Message Center. With one click, the exact message and the problem will appear on the screen.
Truly your student's teachers will be only one click away. We believe this is the most technologically advanced support system in the educational market today.
Paper-Based Curriculum
Your student's teachers will communicate with you via e-mail. Phone Support will also be available per the allowed maximum hours of 60 minutes per subject. Our staff will utilize webinar technology to allow connection between your computer and your student's teacher. This will allow the teacher and student to view the screen simultaneously as needed to explain a concept within the LIFEPAC or Horizons curriculum.
